Willfora is thrilled to announce our partnership with Children Believe (you may remember them as the Christian Children’s Fund of Canada), whose caring community of supporters and partners has empowered young dreamers around the world to access education, overcome barriers, and be a voice for change for over 60 years. We’re proud to be supporting this charity on their mission to improve the lives of children around the world. We’re also very excited to continue helping Children Believe provide education for children, and to help them reach their goal of giving 500,000 kids access to education by 2024!
Leaving a legacy with Children Believe
Legacy gifts are a powerful way to create change and carry on a legacy of hope for a better world even after your lifetime. Legacy gifts can be left through a fixed amount called a cash gift, or as a portion of your estate called a residual gift. Children Believe relies on legacy gifts as a key source of funding in order for them to continue to deploy projects that allow children to overcome barriers to education.
How can legacy gifts help Children Believe and similar organizations?
A study by the Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) found that only about 5% of Canadians currently leave a gift to charity in their Will, but just a 3.5% increase in that number will provide an additional $40 billion to Canadian charities. Since Willfora launched, we’re proud to announce that we’ve raised nearly $50 million, and your legacy gift will help ensure that Children Believe continues to provide its resources and support for the children who need them. Charities love to plan for the future, and legacy gifts are an important way for them to predictably grow and provide a greater impact for their cause.
